Graffiti Homage to the Bristol Scroll
The Bristol Scroll was carried by every bus in the City and surrounding areas from 1965 until the mid 1980s.
Created by an artist unknown, this beautiful script was first used in 1910 by the Bristol Aviation Company, becoming Bristol's most significant logo across the globe, during a period of rapid industrial expansion and innovation.
As a homage to the iconic Bristol Scroll, the design was reinterpreted by 6 renowned graffiti artists from the Bristol scene: Inkie, Paris, Ged Palmer, Deams, 45RPM and 3-DOM.
At Stokes Croft China, our resident artists carefully combine and arrange the designs here in our studio, ensuring that no two items are the same. Every piece is uniquely decorated with a mixture of rare and modern ceramic transfers. Ceramic transfers in their original guise would be applied sparingly to each piece, but here we let them run riot in true Bristol fashion.
