You and I are Earth is a stunning dinner plate decorated with an mixture of modern and vintage gold and platinum, including Spode.

The artist took inspiration from a plate from the 1600s in the medieval period. It symbolised life's fragility during the black plague pandemic. As we live though our own modern pandemic the message to live in the moment seems as crucial today as it did many centuries past.

It can be used to decorate a home or as a functioning plate. But don't put it in the microwave!

The Artist: Bev Milward

Bev Milward is an established maker working in porcelain. She is interested in the longevity and sentimentality of ceramics, how they infiltrate our lives and can be used as a tool for communication long after leaving the maker.

Her distinctive landscape collaged pieces have a strong narrative in common with her porcelain work. Her makers mark is a key which is featured on the front of the current British Studio pottery dictionary.
