The Artist: Chris Shopland
Chris's art celebrates the beauty of uniqueness, embracing the weird, quirky, and different aspects of humanity. He doesn't just want to tell you this; he wants you to see it in the vibrant energetic mark making and captivating colours and texture that bring his artwork to life. Art being its own communication. From the chaotic blend of emotions to the tranquil beauty of finding calm within chaos, his paintings speak volumes about the human experience.
Having grown up with what he now understands to be ADHD and Autism, and receiving an official diagnosis a few years ago, Chris often felt like an outsider, an alien. But through art, he found a way to connect with others on a profound level. It became his language to communicate the feelings and thoughts that sometimes didn't come easily to express in words.
