No.1 in a series in celebration of Protest Art

1968 saw massive global protest movements against the forces of the unrestrained state, imperialism and consumerism. In Paris, the Atelier Populaire (Workshop of the People), composed of artists and the faculty of the School of Fine Arts produced an unprecedented amount of radical protest art that inspired and captured the mood of a movement and a nation.

The protests grew to massive general strikes, economic shutdown and briefly caused the government itself to cease operation. The effect of the 'Mai '68' protests have been felt throughout the country and beyond in subsequent decades.

The People's Republic of Stokes Croft celebrates this important protest and the continuing struggle for our rights and for our streets.

People's Printshop

Delivery

We decorate all our chinaware by hand and fire it here on site, so while we aim to despatch within 3-5 working days, some orders may take up to three weeks to arrive. If you're in a hurry please call us on 0117 944 4540 to check availability.

We offer FREE UK delivery on all orders over £100, or FREE Click & Collect from our Stokes Croft shop. Standard UK delivery is £5.50.

Sending to the EU? Thanks to Brexit, posting from the UK to the EU is now very confusing. Please be aware that additional charges may apply on delivery - this varies from country to country - so it's possible further payment might be needed to get your package through customs.

Sending to the USA? Thanks to Trump and his tariffs, posting things to the States is now a little bit tricky. It might be a good idea to contact us before placing your order, just to make sure it is possible!
