The Artist: Marta Zubieta
My name is Zubieta and I am a Spanish-born, Bristol-based pop-surrealist illustrator and muralist. My work combines a love for retro-cartoons and psychedelic sci-fi with a signature palette of neon-pastels and bold, pop style. Playful and eye-catching on the screen, my murals and public art dive into deeper themes of modern mythology, community connection, and environmental optimism. From painting towering brick walls at Upfest, designing assets for festivals ar to bringing major public trail sculptures to life for Wild in Art, I have a proven track record of delivering durable, high-impact public artwork and illustration. I love doing murals, bringing the art directly to the streets, inviting everyone to stop, smile, and connect.
