This image was instrumental in the evolution of the idea of Stokes Croft as an Outdoor Gallery. It shows a street scene from the mid 1900s when the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Centre occupied 37-39, Jamaica St, a building known locally as The Carriageworks, now home to PRSC and Jamaica St Artists. The walls were all painted with various letter form, not unlike the murals of today.
Size: Approximately 50 x 70cm. Printed by Sebrights of Stokes Croft on shiny thick paper.
